Short, practical courses for parents of younger children: how reading and math really develop, what kindergarten readiness means, and how to get the right support early if your child needs it. Each one is $29, yours to keep, and included in the Caveat Academy all-access pass.
A practical course for parents on how children learn to read, from sounds and phonics to fluency, vocabulary, comprehension and early writing, plus the signs that reading may be hard and what to do. It follows the science of reading and takes about 6 to 9 hours, in 18 short lessons.
A practical course for parents of 3- to 5-year-olds in six units: what readiness really means, language and early literacy, early math, social-emotional and independence skills, health, motor skills and play, and choosing and starting school. Each lesson takes about 15 minutes and comes with everyday activities you can try at home.
Six units explain how children learn elementary math, from counting and place value through multiplication, fractions, decimals and measurement, and show you how to support that learning at home. Plan on about 20 to 30 minutes per lesson, at your own pace.
Learn how to notice developmental concerns, get early intervention and preschool services, request a school evaluation, understand IEPs and 504 plans, and partner with your child's school from birth through grade 5. Six units of three short lessons, about 20 minutes each, at your own pace.
