Caveat Academic Services

For parents

Find a course buddy.

Plenty of students would take a first college course if one other person they knew were taking it too. Tell us which course and when. When another family wants the same course on the same calendar, we introduce you, privately and only with both parents' permission.

How it works

  1. You tell us the course and the start date. A first name, a grade and a general area is all we need about your student. Nothing is posted anywhere.
  2. We look for a match. Same course, same session, similar grade. Students can be from different schools; most matches are.
  3. Both parents say yes before anything is shared. We email each parent separately. Contact details are exchanged only after both agree.
  4. The students start on the same calendar. Each student has their own check-ins and does their own work; they share the pacing calendar, the deadlines and someone to text on a Sunday night.

What it costs

$300per student, per course, for a pair. Each student gets Stay on Track support.
$225per student, per course, once three or more join. That is the course club price.

ASU's fees go to ASU: $25 to start the course, and $400 only if the family adds the credit. If no match turns up before the session starts, your student can still start alone, or wait for the next session. No charge either way until you decide.

Only parents and guardians can ask for a match; students' details are never posted or shared with another family without their parent's permission. Caveat Academic Services offers independent college preparation services and is not affiliated with Arizona State University. Students do all of their own coursework.
