Is the college list balanced?

Enter each college's published admit rate, test score range and average GPA, and see which colleges look likely, which are a match and which are a reach for your student.

Your student

Nothing you type leaves this device.

Where to find each college's numbers: the college's admissions website, its Common Data Set (section C: admit rate, test score ranges and GPA), or College Navigator from the U.S. Department of Education. Use the most recent year you can find.
An estimate from the numbers you enter, not a prediction. Colleges also weigh course rigor, essays, activities, recommendations, the intended major and their own goals for each class. Colleges that admit fewer than 15 percent of applicants are a reach for every student.

This tool is general information, not legal, tax or financial advice. Each college decides admission, aid and how credit counts, and requirements change; check each college's own pages. Examples are examples, not promises. Caveat Academic Services is an independent college preparation company. Students do all of their own work.
