Caveat is college preparation for high school students, wherever they live: college credit earned in high school, the college list and applications, paying for college, and the study habits that carry into the first year. Choose a full support package or just the piece you need.

Course-related services are included with course support

With Stay on Track ($300 per course) or Go One-on-One ($450 per course), the course launch, check-ups whenever they're needed, the credit and transcript step, accommodations setup and transfer requests are all part of the package. Nothing is added on top. The single prices below are for families who want just one piece.

Spotter Self-Guided, coming in 2027

For students who want to run a college course themselves with a system behind them: the pacing calendar, study-block reminders and check-ins, a Friday summary for parents built from the student's own check-ins, and the credits meter. $49 per course, with no check-ins. It arrives with Spotter, Caveat's family app, in 2027. Until then, the free pacing calendar maker does the first part.

If it stops working, moving up to Stay on Track ($300 per course) takes one call.

For schools, microschools and co-ops

Running college courses for your own students? A Spotter license gives your staff the pacing calendars, study-block check-ins and Friday reports for every student, with Caveat's course plans behind them. $99 per student per school year, for 10 or more students. Supported seats for a school group are $175 per student per course. Small private schools and microschools without a full-time college counselor can also add senior-year support under their own name: the college list, application timeline, essay feedback and aid comparison for each senior, at $125 per senior per school year, five seniors minimum. See the school programs or email team@caveatacademic.com.

Outside Arizona?

Students in any state can take the same online university courses at the same price, and Caveat's services cost the same. Arizona's public universities publish how they count each course, so Arizona families get the clearest picture. Elsewhere, each college decides for itself, so how far the credit goes depends on the colleges on the student's list. Caveat checks those colleges before the student enrolls.

More: how involved do you want to be? · gifts · all guides and tools

Prices as of October 2026. Sessions are online, so families in any state can use every service. Arizona ESA families can pay through ClassWallet; ask for an itemized invoice. ASU's own fees are separate and paid to ASU: $25 to start a course, $400 to add the credit only if the family chooses. Caveat Academic Services offers independent college preparation services and is not affiliated with Arizona State University or any college. Caveat does not tutor and never writes for students: students do all of their own coursework, essays and applications. Each college decides which credits it accepts. Caveat does not guarantee admission, scholarships or aid.
