Caveat Academic Services

For grandparents, aunts, uncles and family friends

Give a college course.

A gift that is finished by spring: one real college course, taken online in high school, with an advisor who checks in every week and sends the parents a report every Friday. You pay once, we email a printable certificate within one business day, and the family picks the course and the start date. The gift does not expire.

How it works

  1. Choose an amount above and pay by card. You will be asked for the student's name, a parent's email and an optional message.
  2. Within one business day, we email a printable certificate, to you or straight to the family, whichever you choose.
  3. The family books a free 20-minute call, mentions the gift code, and picks the course and the start date. The January session starts January 12, 2027, and many courses start any day.
  4. The course begins. The weekly check-ins and Friday reports run until it is done.

What the family pays ASU

The gift covers Caveat support. ASU's own fees are small and go straight to ASU: $25 to start the course, and $400 only if the family later chooses to add the grade to an official ASU transcript. Nothing goes on a transcript unless they choose. How that decision works.

Want to cover ASU's fees too? Add a note in the message field and we will explain the simplest way on the call. Many families use Arizona ESA funds for the support; here is how.

Common questions

Does the gift expire? No. The family can use it for any session, and many courses start any day.

Can I give a larger amount? Yes. Buy more than one certificate, or email team@caveatacademic.com for a bundle such as College Starter ($700) or Semester of College ($1,200).

What if the student is not ready yet? Build the Plan is the gift for that: two planning sessions and a written roadmap, with no course until the family is ready.

Is this affiliated with ASU? No. Caveat Academic Services offers independent college preparation services. The student takes ASU's course, does all of the work, and ASU grades it. Each college decides which credits it accepts, so Caveat does not promise that credit will transfer.
