Your school's gap map.

Check the AP courses your school offers. The map shows which online ASU courses fill the subjects you don't, how the University of Arizona and Northern Arizona University count each one, and a few college subjects almost no high school offers at all. Print it or save it as a PDF for your counseling team.

College subjects most high schools don't offer

How these courses work: online, taught by ASU faculty, many start any day. $25 to start each course; $400 only if the family chooses to add the grade to an official ASU transcript, and only with a C or better. Arizona students who took the ACT may pay $350. Nothing appears on a transcript unless the family chooses. Whether a course also counts for high school credit is the school's decision.

Rulings are from the University of Arizona and NAU transfer guides, read October 2026; each college decides which credits it accepts. Caveat Academic Services offers independent college preparation services and is not affiliated with Arizona State University. Know a student who should take one of these? Nominate them for the First Course Award, three fully supported first courses for spring 2027. More for counselors: the counselor page and the partner kit.
