The Arizona Credit Map

64 ASU courses, and what UA and NAU say each is worth.

Online ASU courses become ASU credit once the family adds them to the transcript. Here is how the University of Arizona and Northern Arizona University say they count each one, from the state's published transfer rulings. Tick courses to build a list.

How to read this

Rulings come from the Arizona transfer equivalency guide, which lists how each Arizona public university counts another's courses. A ruling is what a university has published; it is not a promise for any one student, and rulings change. Tags such as [02] or T1-NATS name the general-education area a course can fill at that school.

Before relying on a course, confirm it with the college's own transfer evaluation. Colleges outside Arizona set their own rules.

Outside Arizona?

Students in any state can take the same online university courses at the same price, and Caveat's services cost the same. Arizona's public universities publish how they count each course, so Arizona families get the clearest picture. Elsewhere, each college decides for itself, so how far the credit goes depends on the colleges on the student's list. Caveat checks those colleges before the student enrolls.

Caveat Academic Services offers independent college preparation services and is not affiliated with Arizona State University, the University of Arizona, Northern Arizona University or AZTransfer. Each college decides which credits it accepts; Caveat does not promise that credit will transfer. Students do all of their own coursework.
