Course field notes
Catalog estimates are a guess. These are the hours high school students actually logged in Spotter, the Caveat family app, one study session at a time, pooled across every student who took the course.
Students start a timer in Spotter when they sit down to work and log it when they finish. We add each student's minutes for each week of the course, then average across students.
A course appears here only after at least three different students have logged it, so no number describes one person. No names, grades or schools are used. Weekly hours include reading, assignments and studying, not the Wednesday check-in call.
These are students who had a weekly plan and an advisor; students working alone may spend more time or less. Use the numbers to plan a schedule, not as a promise.
Caveat Academic Services is independent support, not affiliated with Arizona State University. ASU sets its own course content, fees and policies. Each college decides which credits it accepts.
