Spring 2027

Start a real college course in January.

ASU's spring online sessions open January 12 and March 16, 2027. Many courses also start any day. Here is what to settle before the holidays so the first week goes smoothly.

–days until the January 12 session
–days until the March 16 session

Session dates from ASU's course pages, October 2026. ASU can change them; check the course page before enrolling.

The plan, week by week

  1. November
Pick the course.Match it to the student's interests, the hours they really have, and the colleges they're aiming for. The Credit Map shows how UA and NAU count each one.
  2. Early December
Talk to the school counselor.Ask whether the course will count for high school credit, and for athletes, whether it is reported as dual enrollment. ASU leaves both to the high school. A one-page sheet to bring along.
  3. Mid-December
Set up the computer and the ID.A laptop or desktop with a webcam, Chrome or Firefox, and photo ID for any proctored exams. The first-week checklist.
  4. Before winter break
Enroll with ASU.$25 to start. No application and no GPA minimum. Unenrolling within 10 days refunds the $25.
  5. January 12
Day one.Read the syllabus, put every due date on one calendar, and block study time for the first two weeks before the first assignment lands.

Seniors, one more thing

College enrollment after high school graduation can affect first-year scholarships at ASU and UA. A course started in January should finish before graduation. Read the scholarship guide.
